Helmcken Falls Lodge

Wells Gray Park in Wells Gray Park

Helmcken Falls Lodge is an iconic wilderness lodge located in Clearwater at the gateway to world famous Wells Gray Park in the spectacular interior of Super Natural British Columbia, Canada! The business has been established for over 60 years and has been operated as a family business for the past decade. We've done extensive upgrading and adding the facilities. The operation consists of a rustic main lodge with a licensed restaurant and lounge with a 2-bedroom suite for the owner or manager. We now wish to retire.

We have 33 intimate and comfortable rooms situated around our 20 acre grounds in 8 buildings. There is also a small RV area with 13 serviced sites and 7 tenting sites. Helmcken Falls Lodge has established strong relationships with tour companies which has resulted in a steady flow of European tourists over the years. The business is profitable with revenues showing steady growth. If you are considering a well-established seasonal profitable business, the Helmcken Falls Lodge must be on your list!

“Excellent find” Lovely location with spacious clean rooms and a great view. The hotel staff(and owners I believe) were both helpful and interested in us-gave us loads of info. Pleasing atmosphere in the restaurant and great food/service. Well worth the slight detour from Clearwater itself. Stuart M - Trip Advisor
“Holiday - great waitress Lynda” We stayed at the Helmcken Falls for a day and a night. Unfortunately our program was so packed that we couldn't afford to stay longer but we would have loved to. Major attractions are the rustic location, great horses which are taken care off very well and clean shower and bathroom facilities. Special thanks go to Lynda, the waitress in the restaurant, she was very enthusiastic, professional, knowledgeable and attentive. She suggested the right combination of dishes incl. accompanying wines as they turned out to be very delicious. I can really recommend this campground and please enjoy dinner served by Lynda! “If you love tranquility go here...” ... if you don't, stay away. We loved it. Although basic (no TV, no fridge etc), the room is OK. We had a Log Cabin room that had it's own terrace with a nice view. Beds are good and room is clean. It is quiet remote but the Lodge has it's own restaurant. Quality of the food is good. Not cheap but what can you expect in a remote location. The same for wifi. They charge you 5$/day. That's not really a rip off compared with what some other hotels are charging and considering that it concerns satellite wifi. All staff was very friendly. We stayed 2 nights and visit the provincial park including the fabulous Helmcken Falls. Loved it. Stayed August 2016, travelled with family Si Z - Trip Advisor
“Excellent location - nice atmosphere ” We booked 2 nights at the lodge to break the travel between whistler and jasper. Excellent stopover. The hotel is excellent with clean and spacious rooms. True charm comes from the staff. Kitchen is great. Must do for those who want to stopover in clearwater. Rense B - Trip Advisor
"Excellent Escape" We stopped over for one night on route from Jasper to Whistler we arrived before the 3pm check in time and the receptionist suggested some local sights to see until we could check in which were beautiful. We checked into our spacious clean and lovely decorated chalet which was so peaceful. With on suite and toiletries provided, coffee making facilities and no TV which was great as we enjoyed taking in the surroundings and tranquility. We booked a horse trekking trip with the company on the same site which we thoroughly enjoyed. Great food reasonably priced and the service was excellent, we also had breakfast the following morning which had lovely home bakes, cereals, scones, toast juices fruit, etc. We wished we had stayed 2 nights as the lodge is next to a small golf course and my husband and daughter would liked to have had an opportunity to play. I would definately stay again if we were in the area. Kirkwoods - Trip Advisor

Emigrate to Canada

This is a perfect immigration opportunity since we came to Canada on the BC Provincial Nomination Program and this program is still available for new immigrants to further develop the property and to bring key workers and family members with them.
